The ASD® (Automatic Session Distributor), new in V10.7, is the multisession equivalent to the traditional call center ACD (Automatic Call DIstributor), which intelligently connects calls to appropriate agents.
Softdial Contact Center™ (SCC) V10.7 delivers the ability for a contact center agent to service multiple sessions concurrently. This has resulted in the need for a new logical interface for marshalling the multisession agent environment, as well as maintaining a simple API for first-party interactions.
This ASD® model has evolved to provide a homogeneous approach to delivering multisession functionality. This enables integrators to plug in new media sources and endpoint applications simply.
