Thresholds Tab

A threshold is a way of drawing attention within the widget to the fact that the value of a metric has met or exceeded a criterion (as specified in this tab). Such metrics then display in the specified color instead of the default.

The Thresholds tab is only available to the following widget types. Exactly which element changes color is also specified below:

The number of thresholds currently applied to the widget will be shown in the tab header, remaining visible when other tabs are in focus.

The following actions are available for thresholds:

Construct a threshold, as follows:

Field	Description
If: this field	Select from the list of metrics, populated according to the type of data selected in the Data tab, Report on field. This in not required to be a visible metric. Either... click on the drop-down, and select a metric for comparison, or type some text. The list will be constrained to display only metrics containing the typed text. From the constrained list, select a metric for comparison
=	Select an operator. The list of operators is populated according to whether the metric is a string or a number/ duration string - =, !=, like (equivalent to contains) number/ duration - =, !=, <, >, <=, >=
this value/ HH:MM:SS	Enter a value to which the metric should be compared. Entries are accepted or errored according to whether the metric is a string, a number or a duration: string - any character number - 0 to 9, hyphen (negative numbers are accepted), decimal point '.' duration - enter digits, following these guidelines: decimal point is accepted but rounded to the nearest integer HH - No digits (blank) or 0 - equates to '0 hours' 1 or more (unlimited) digits - the number of hours MM No digits (blank) - equates to '0 minutes' 1 digit - the number of minutes, e.g. 0 equates to '0 minutes'; 2 equates to '2 minutes' 2 digits - the number of minutes, e.g. 02 equates to '2 minutes' (and will revert to the single digit 2). Maximum accepted value is 59 More than 2 digits - will be errored Any errors must be corrected before saving SS Follows the same rules as MM
then show: this field	Select from the list of metrics, populated according to the type of data selected in the Data tab, Report on field. The selected metric does not have to match that selected in the this field field above. If the selected field is not that is one visible in the widget, the threshold will still be accepted.
as this colour	Select a suitable colour for the items that have reached/ exceeded the threshold
Show line	Check to display a dotted line in the threshold colour at the threshold level on the chart. This option is only available for bar/ area charts, if the Stacked option is not selected.
Line Label	If Show Line is checked, the text entered here will be displayed in the threshold colour
