1. Open a browser window
   For users of Microsoft Edge v44+

   Users of Microsoft Edge version 44.x and above must add the domain name/ IP address of the SCC web server host to the Windows list of Trusted Sites, as follows:

   1. Open the Windows Internet Properties dialogue; either
      1. navigate to Control Panel > Network and Internet > Internet Options, or
      2. in a command prompt, type inetcpl.cpl
   2. Click the Security tab
   3. Click the Trusted sites option
   4. Click the Sites button. The Trusted Sites dialogue will open
   5. In the field Add this website to the zone, enter https://[WebServer] where WebServer is the fully qualified domain name or IP address of your SCC web server host.
   6. Click the Add button. The site will be displayed in the Websites list
   7. Close the Trusted Sites and Internet Properties dialogues
2. Point it to http://[WebServer] where WebServer is the fully qualified domain name or IP address of your SCC web server host. (Use localhost if running a browser on the same machine as the web server.) A page like the following (Fig. 1) will appear.

3. Enter the required credentials:
4. Tenant - enter one of the following:
   1. a tenant name
   2. default - for single-tenant operation
   3. landlord
5. Username - either Administrator, or the name of a configured user
6. Password - either the Administrator password, set at the time of installation, or the password of a configured user
7. <UI Language> - either English (the default), or another language from the drop-down menu

8. Click on Sign In >. On successful login, the Home page appears (Fig. 2)..

   The range of applications offered on this page is dependent on the user's permissions, as set in Softdial Repository™ Users & Endpoints

From here, the user can

• open one of the web applications by clicking on a central button (Fig. 3)

• open one of the executable applications by
  • selecting it from the Downloads menu (Fig. 4).

    The application will download.

  • running the downloaded file
• log out of SCC by clicking on the Logout button. After a confirmation prompt, the user is returned to the Login page (Fig. 1)

Most SCC web clients provide a common menu to jump straight to another web client via the drop down menu at the top-right of the screen (Fig. 5) (except Campaign Manager - see below):

The menu shows the name of the logged in user, and allows the user to

• navigate to the Home screen (Fig. 2)
• navigate to other web clients
• log out of SCC. After a confirmation dialog, the user is returned to the login screen (Fig. 1)

The Campaign Manager web client uses the menu via the legacy Navigator toolbar at the bottom left of the screen (Fig. 6), used by older versions of SCC, which is described below.

Navigator button

The Navigator button allows

• selection from the list of available web applications
• access to the webserver help document
• logout of the webserver

Status and Activity Indicators

The three squares to the right of the Navigator button (see Fig. 5) are status indicators, described below. The colour of these indicators changes according to the status. Hovering the mouse over each of these squares will display additional information to aid fault diagnosis.

Left - Network activity indicator

The indicator on the left is the Network Activity indicator, reporting web request activity. Hovering over the square brings up a tooltip (Fig. 7) showing

• Queue
• Network activity - current request URL
• Result - OK, communication error, or operation aborted

The network activity status is also indicated by the colour of this square:

•  white  - no network activity.
• blue - a request has been sent to the server and the client application is waiting for a response.
• red - network communication errors.

Middle - HTTPSDMPBridge indicator

The indicator in the middle indicates HttpSDMPBridge status:

• green - online - normal working status.
• red -
  • offline - the connection between Web Server and HttpSDMPBridge is disrupted. Possible causes: wrong configuration, bridge service stopped or network connection problem.
  • session expired - although logged in to the Web Server, the SCC system session has expired. To recover, log out and log back in.
• black - unknown - client cannot determine bridge status.

Right - Softdial CallGem™ indicator

The indicator on the right, indicates Softdial CallGem™ status:

• green - online - normal working status.
• red -
  • offline - Softdial CallGem™ service not available to HttpSDMPBridge . Possible causes: wrong configuration, Softdial CallGem™ service stopped or network connection problem.
  • busy - a request to Softdial CallGem™ has been sent, but a response has not been received.
• black - unknown - client cannot determine Softdial CallGem™ status.

The area to the right of the indicators is also used to display diagnostic information in the case of errors.
